Senior Functional Analyst
Understand how the business runs. Then decide what to build.

Cambodian Odoo specialist with ten years spent understanding how businesses actually run before deciding what to build. Built that decade at KhmerDev, latterly leading the Odoo functional team, and has delivered across manufacturing, food service, retail, hospitality and government.
Works as the translator between what a business does day to day and what the system needs to do, drawing the real process out of the people who live it. The person you want in the room when a project gets complicated.
— What I work on
Process before configuration.
How the work actually gets done
Ten years have taught me that the request a client arrives with is rarely the whole problem. The early weeks are spent with the people doing the job, until the real process is on the table.
Between the operation and the build
Functional analysis is the layer between what a business does day to day and what the system has to do. My job is to make sure the developers build the right thing and the users recognise it when they see it.
Across very different industries
Manufacturing, food service, retail, hospitality and government. Each one has its own vocabulary and its own constraints, and none of them respond well to a template.
— How I work
The process lives with the people.
Every business has a documented process and a real one. The real one lives with the people doing the work, including the workarounds they built to keep things moving. That is the process the system has to fit, and it only comes out if you ask properly and listen.
When a project gets complicated it is almost never a technical problem. It is that something about the operation was never fully understood. Getting that right early is cheaper than discovering it at go-live.
