Social Innovation
From a coworking space in Siem Reap to a technology company serving Cambodia
Where It Started
In 2013, Jeff Laflamme started AngkorHUB in Siem Reap, Cambodia. What began as a coworking project opened its doors to the public in 2014 and grew into something larger: a coworking and coliving space combined with a social innovation center.
At AngkorHUB, there were two passions: being productive and being positive. The space brought together freelancers, location-independent workers, and entrepreneurs from around the world. A place to get advice, network, and widen opportunities.
But beyond productivity, AngkorHUB housed a social innovation center dedicated to the sustainable growth and development of Cambodia. By bringing together mentors from both the local area and an extended network of supporters, it empowered local people to challenge and overturn the status quo.
The Social Mission
Workshops & Training
In a country where the living wage was set to $177/month, AngkorHUB ran workshops, training, and incubation programs with organizations and individuals to empower those who could not afford to take career risks on their own.
Mentorship Programs
The Digital Nomad Mentorship Program and The Coworking Exchange connected local talent with international professionals, bridging the technology skills gap through direct collaboration.
Incubation
AngkorHUB developed incubation and social innovation opportunities, networking with social enterprises and NGOs to work together on shared causes rather than reinventing the wheel.
Recognition
AngkorHUB was featured on e27 and listed among Asia's pioneer coliving spaces. Located in world-famous Siem Reap, minutes from downtown and a bicycle ride away from Angkor Wat, the space held weekly community events, educational lectures, and vocational tutorials.
The community that formed around AngkorHUB was not bound to a building. When COVID closed the physical space in March 2020, the relationships and mission persisted.
From AngkorHUB to InnoLabs
AngkorHUB was the foundation that created InnoLabs — the technology company that carries the mission forward.
Where AngkorHUB empowered people through physical space and mentorship, InnoLabs empowers businesses through software, systems integration, and digital infrastructure. The same commitment to Cambodia's growth, expressed through a different medium.
Jeff Laflamme's 20+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering and high-availability infrastructure — spanning banking, telecommunications, and multiple startups — now drives InnoLabs' work across Cambodia and the region.
Continuing the Mission
Projects born from the AngkorHUB spirit — community tools, open infrastructure, and social impact.
The Journey Continues
From a coworking space to a technology company, the mission has always been the same: empower people and businesses in Cambodia through technology and community.
